BLYTHEWOOD – The Bengals shut out Fort Mill at home 5-0 in the first round of the 5A playoffs on Monday.
Blythewood put in four goals in the first half and added another for insurance in the second to take the win.
Blythewood (15-6-2; 5-3) faced Riverside (17-1; 8-0) on the road in the second round on Tuesday, but scores were not available at press time. Riverside’s only loss of the season was a 1-0 final against Mauldin. The winner advances to the quarterfinal game on Friday.
