Blythewood High School teacher Jacquelyn Marsha was selected as one of nine top finalists for the Jessie Williams Little “Leading the Way” Award for outstanding mentorship. Marsha has served as a mentor for new and aspiring teachers through her roles as English Department Chair and Teacher Cadet Instructor.
Her nominator said, “Jacquelyn dedicates her time, energy, and talents to developing her students and her colleagues, and we are all better for knowing her.” This statewide award was established in honor of Jessie Little as a recognition of the critical role mentors play in going above and beyond to support preservice and new teachers.
