RIDGEWAY – For fourteen years, Ridgeway has celebrated the arts and the artists who create it.
This year is no exception as the 15th Annual Arts on the Ridge kicks off on Saturday, May 7, 2022, with “Celebrating the Arts and Artists Throughout the Years.”
The celebration highlights the debut of the newly updated Self-guided Architectural Walking Tour Brochure of Historic Ridgeway homes and buildings. The brochure will be available from 8:30 a.m. until 4 p.m. at the welcome kiosk on Palmer Street.
Plein Air painters will capture the charm of Ridgeway on canvas in the downtown area from 8:30 until noon. Slightly North of Charleston Art Gallery will be bustling with artists and artisans on Palmer Street. Visitors can enjoy an art reception, see the art and meet the artists from 1 – 2 p.m. at The Ivy Veranda, 110 West Ruff Street.
Local artists are invited to bring a piece o art to share or sell at the reception. Artisan vendors will be offering their unique work outdoors at The Ivy Veranda from 8:30 to 4 p.m.
From 2 – 4 p.m., visitors are invited to tour the interior art galleries at Pecan Hill Estate and The Ivy Veranda in Downtown Ridgeway. Visitors are encouraged to take advantage of the day and visit the unique shops and restaurants in this historic venue.
