BLYTHEWOOD – The Blythewood boys basketball team finished the regular season 9-14 overall and 3-5 in Region 4-5A after Friday night’s 77-56 loss at Region 4 champion Ridge View.
The Blazers outscored the Bengals 20-14 in the first quarter and 16-12 in the second to take a 36-26 lead into intermission. Ridge View matched Blythewood in the third quarter as each team scored 19 points apiece, and the Blazers won the fourth quarter 22-11.
The Bengals take a third seed in the playoffs and travel to Clover today. Clover (18-7) finished second in Region 3.
In the girls game, Ridge View (6-15, 2-6) topped Blythewood (0-19, 0-8) 58-24.
