BLYTHEWOOD – The Blythewood football team scored first against Ridge View Friday night, when Anthony McCollough burst into the end zone at the seven-minute mark of the first quarter.
The rest of the Bengals’ night went downhill, as the Blazers took a 16-7 lead at the half, scored 20 points in the third quarter, and wound up with a 43-7 win.
Ridge View (4-4 overall, 2-2 Region 4-5A) finished third in the region and heads to Clover to play the No.2 seed Blue Eagles in the first round of the 5A state playoffs.
The Bengals (3-6, 0-4) are out of the postseason hunt for a playoff berth.
