BLYTHEWOOD – As the father of the late Stacey Lamarn Brown and the family of Joe Trapp stood before council last week, Mayor Bryan Franklin read proclamations in honor of Brown and Trapp. Franklin declared the 23rd Day of August, 2021, as Stacey Lamarn Brown Day (pictured above) in the Town of Blythewood. Franklin said Brown was an outstanding athlete, educator, and citizen and commended him for a life well-lived and for the contributions he gave to his family and community.
Franklin declared Aug. 3, 2021 as Joseph Nathan Trapp, Sr. Day in the Town. Franklin commended Trapp for being an active member of the Blythewood Ward of the Church of Christ of Latter-day Saints, and for being an entrepreneur who started two successful local businesses – Red Knoll Landscaping and Joe Trapp’s Stone Ground Yellow Grits. He was a skilled woodworker and was well-loved by everyone he met, Franklin said before presenting the plaques to the family, pictured below.
