ROCK HILL – Blythewood’s football teams was shut out on the road Friday night, falling 28-0 at Northwestern.
The Trojans led just 6-0 at halftime on a pair of Kanoah Vinesett field goals. They got third quarter scores on a 6-yard Zachar Anderson touchdown run, and a Will-Mattison-to-Christi Watkins TD pass. Mattison rounded out the scoring in the fourth quarter on a one-yard touchdown run.
The Bengals had just nine first downs and 150 yards on the night.
Blythewood (3-3 overall, 0-1 Region 4-5A) returns to the Rock Hill area Friday to play at Rock Hill. Northwestern (7-1, 2-0) plays at Spring Valley (5-1, 2-0).
