RIDGEWAY – Funeral service for Stanley Jerry “Joe” Boykin, 74, will be held on Friday at 2:00 p.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints – Ridgeway Ward, 1391 Centerville Road, Ridgeway, S.C. Burial with military honors will follow in Centerville Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints Missionary Fund.
Mr. Boykin passed away at home on Monday, August 16, 2021. Born in Bishopville, he was the son of the late Ollie and Lottie Vermelle Myers Boykin. He retired from Mack Truck in Winnsboro.
Surviving are his wife, Janet Lynn Boykin; children, Greta Godbolt (Houston), Pepper Harrison (Hoyt) and Todd Boykin; sister, Frances Gayle Mogridge (Fred); grandchildren, Amber, Christopher, Candy, Jonathan, Savannah, Caitlin, Madison, Cayle, Joseph, Christian, Daphne, Cole and Stella; and 7 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by brothers, Vernon Boykin, Rickey Boykin and Ray Boykin.
