WINNSBORO – Andre Jones likes bringing his work home.
Fairfield’s Andre Jones will be bringing his food truck ‘Geared Up to Go Fast Food,” and seven others to downtown Winnsboro Saturday from about 10:30 a.m. until 7 p.m.
Hosted by Jones, Food Truck Wars, is made up of a group of eight food trucks that will be parked between the Gazebo Park and First Citizens Bank.
The group will include DJThunda featuring great family friendly music from about noon till 7 p.m.
Jones said there will be a lot of great foods along with Kona Ice and fresh squeezed lemonade – something for everybody.
The trucks include Amadi Kitchen, Shug & Bay Lemonade Stand, Wild Childz, Chappell’s Snack Shack, Ms. B’s Kitchen, J’s Seafood, Kona Ice, J&D BBQ and Turkey Leg Man.
“I’m from Winnsboro, I went to Fairfield Central High School, I live here and I just want to do something good and positive for my town,” Jones said.
Jones started his food truck business earlier this year and has pulled together some other food truck owners to get together at the Bypass a few times on Saturdays.
“We want to duplicate that in the downtown area where the people who eat at the food trucks can also enjoy some shopping.” Jones said.
