ROCK HILL – With a big win on Tuesday, Blythewood soccer moved to 4-0 in region play this season.
The Bengals trailed Northwestern 0-1 at halftime, but goals by juniors Connor Jackson and Terry Watson in the second half put them on top for the 2-1 win.
Juniors Justin Ellis and KJ Blocker each had an assist. Senior Jackson Gouvin had seven saves on the night.
The win comes on the heels of last week’s Nike Cup, where the fell to Bishop England 3-1 in the finals. Blythewood defeated Cardinal Newman 2-1 on Monday and Legion Collegiate Academy 2-1 on Tuesday. They are on the road again Friday against Northwestern, but will return to host Spring Valley on Tuesday.
