COLUMBIA –Derrek Pugh, Blythewood’s District 2 Richland County Councilman, is holding a testing and mask giveaway events as part of the county’s continuing efforts to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
Residents can receive a COVID-19 test and face coverings will be available first come, first serve at the free drive-thru events which will be held from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on the second Saturday of February, March and April at Doko Manor Park.
“It’s important for us to facilitate opportunities for our community to know their status,” Pugh said.
The events are part of a larger effort to help residents follow Richland County’s mask requirement, which requires most people older than 10 to wear face coverings in public.
