FLORENCE – To cap their stellar seasons, Kyndall Ragins and Hannah Myers were invited to participate in the South Carolina High School League’s Tennis Singles State Championship, held Nov. 2 and 3 at Dr. Eddie Floyd Florence Tennis Center.
Ragins defeated Julia Price of Greenville High School in the first round, but fell to Mauldin High School’s Jyoshikka Umsankar in the second round. Ragins was defeated in the consolation tournament by Hilton Head’s Sierra Seabra.
Myers defeated Riverside’s Emma Bao in the first round, but fell to Socastee’s Brooke Rogers in the second round. She then fell to Hillcrest High School’s Hannah Hill in the consolation round.
Ragins is a senior at Westwood High School, and Myers is a junior at Blythewood High School.
