COLUMBIA – Blythewood Cross Country opened their season at the Falcon Invitational on Sept. 12. The boys team finished in 8th place out of 14 teams with a score of 183. The girls finished 11th of 13 teams with a score of 294.
William Lenker finished first for the Bengals in 23rd place overall with a time of 19:05.02, followed by Andrew Sullivan in 37th place (19:50.17), Barry Hardy in 45th (20:11.32) and Spencer Shealy in 46th (20:11.34).
Anna Kelly led the Bengal girls with a 27th place finish and a time of 22:45.35. Brooke Barker, Evan Pendleton, Jenycis Sherwood, Phina Rabaca, Lily Sobel and Tessa Ware each finished under 30 minutes.
The Bengals are set to compete in Saturday’s Shamrock XC Invitational, hosted by Eau Claire High School, on Saturday.
