SUMTER – Blythewood’s girls basketball team stomped its way into the District 9 Tournament at Morris College on Dec. 26.
Facing off against Lamar High School, the Bengals took a first half 21-16 lead and never looked back en route to a 51-26 final score.
Blythewood found a tougher opponent in the Hartsville Red Foxes on day two of the tournament as the Red Foxes took down the Bengals with a 59-47 final score.
Blythewood will host cross-town rival Westwood on Friday and then will face the Redhawks in a rematch on Tuesday at The Castle.
