BLYTHEWOOD – The Blythewood Historical Society and Museum will host a Veterans Day celebration for the community at the Langford-Nord House on Sunday, Nov. 10, 2019, starting at 4 p.m.
The will include guest speaker Jennifer Miller from Counseling Plus. Miller has served in the military and will share her story and services for Veterans.
Also included in our program are former mayors, LTC Keith Bailey and J. Michael Ross; the presentation of two Quilts of Valor, a Flag Retirement conducted by Town Councilman Eddie Baughman a recitation of “That Raggedy Old Flag” by Christie Lomas and a tribute to a World War II Veteran from Little Zion Church.
Vance and Jeannie Sharpe will set the mood and entertain with patriotic songs. During the flag retirement service, guests will have an opportunity to pay tribute to a family member who served or is presently serving in the military.
Bob Redfern’s vintage Military vehicles will be on display for viewing beginning at 3 p.m.
This free family event will honor the five branches of the military, while showing patriotism and pride to those who are serving or have served our country.
Light refreshments will be served.
