BLYTHEWOOD – The Historical Society is asking Blythewood Historical Society and Museum members and guests to display their quilt(s) at the Langford-Nord House as the Society invites the community to come view and talk about their favorite quilts and family heirlooms.
The event will be held at the Langford-Nord house, Saturday, Oct. 19, from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.
Bring a quilt stand or a ladder, or use the “quilt friendly” fence at the Langford-Nord House to display quilt(s).
“Let’s dress up the Langford-Nord yard in talent, family stories and great memories,” organizer Margaret Kelly said. “The BHS&L hopes to have as many as 30 to 40 beautiful quilts to show the community.”
The organizers are also looking for volunteers to help for an hour or more during the event.
Those interested in displaying quilt(s) can call 803-333-8133 or come by the Langford-Nord House Tuesdays, Wednesdays or Thursdays from 9 to 4 p.m. to volunteer.
