BLYTHEWOOD – Redhawk volleyball blazed its way into October with a conference win over Ridge View High School.
Westwood took down the Blazers in game one 25-19. Ridge View came back for a decisive 25-16 win in game 2 to even the match at 1-1, but the Redhawks finished strong with 25-19 and 25-22 wins to take a 3-1 win.
The Redhawks defeated South Pointe for the second time this season on Tuesday during their Dig Pink match to raise awareness for Breast Cancer.
Westwood is on the road next at Lancaster on Oct. 10, and then will wrap up regular season plan next week at York on Oct. 15 and against Richland Northeast on Oct. 17 for senior night. The Redhawks (17-10, 7-0) look to make a 3-0 run in their last games to stay perfect in region play.
