WINNSBORO – Fairfield Central Tennis hosted a tough Union County team in the first round of the 3A State Playoffs last Thursday.
Fairfield, a two-seed, fell to Union 5-1 in the match to eliminate the Griffins from playoff contention. Union advanced to face top-seeded Chapman High School.
