BLYTHEWOOD – Blythewood High School’s swim team hosted Irmo and Keenan high schools on Sept. 11 for a conference meet.
The Lady Bengals finished first place, defeating Irmo 120-48 and Keenan 146-7 to take home an overall victory.
The Blythewood boys also defeated Irmo 113-57.
The Bengals also celebrated seniors Eden Bulleman, Team Captain Alex Hatchell, Lauren Price, Erik Daunheimer and Matthew Symonds in their last home meet of the season.
Blythewood participated in The Dam Swim for Drew, a two-mile open water race at the Lake Murray Dam, on Sept. 14. The Dam Swim is a yearly event to honor the life and death of Drew Smith and the difference he has made in boating safety in South Carolina.
The Bengals are back in the pool on Sept. 22 in the Blue Devil Invitational at the University of South Carolina.
