CAMDEN – Fairfield Central Cross Country had a strong showing in last Saturday’s Battle of Camden Invitational. Malik Coleman led Griffin runners and finished in fourth with a time of 18:25:91, just under a minute shy of first place.
Senior Sammie Robinson, sophomore Joshua Mosley and senior Malik Beaver finished in ninth, tenth and eleventh places of the 100 runners with times of 18:26:41, 18:46:81 and 18:48:18. Gabriel Mosley finished with a time of 20:37:65, and freshman Luke Downs rounded out the Griffins with a time of 21:05.96.
Nia Lemon led the Griffin girls with her time of 24:46.42, good enough for a 21 spot of the 71 runners. Trenell Boyd finished with a time of 28:01.3 and Kensley Green at 38:57.4.
The Griffins are in action again next Wednesday at Chapin.
