BLYTHEWOOD – Blythewood’s National Night Out event is planned for Doko Meadows on Tuesday, Aug. 6 from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m.
The Richland County Sheriff’s Department is partnering with Amcor Rigid Packaging and the Town of Blythewood to enhance relationships between the community and law enforcement. National Night Out is a community building campaign that promotes police-community partnerships.
During the evening, Amcor employees will provide hot dogs, chips and bottled water to everyone at the various National Night Out vendor tents. The company will also offer drawstring backpacks filled with school supplies to the first 100 children who visit the Amcor tent.
Amcor Rigid Packaging is a multinational global packaging company that produce flexibles packaging, rigid containers, specialty cartons, closures and services for food, beverage, pharmaceutical, medical devices, home and personal care. The company has operated in Blythewood at 1080 Jenkins Brothers Road since 1999.
