BLYTHEWOOD — Richland School District Two Food Services, operated by Sodexo, will again serve free meals this summer. Meals, provided at a first come, first serve basis, will be provided to all children age 18 and under.
Blythewood Academy will provide breakfast from 7:30 – 9 a.m. and lunch from 11:30 – noon June 10 – June 27, and will be closed on Fridays.
For more information on summer meals and more meal locations and times, visit www.richland2.org.
Why does Richland 2 provide meals to “all children age 18 and under” during the summer? I can understand (sort of) the free lunch (and now free breakfast) programs for students during the school year. But a school district need not be the welfare agency for the county.
