CLINTON – After falling to top-seeded Crescent High School in the Class 3A softball playoffs last Thursday, the Griffins faced off with the Clinton High School Red Devils in a Saturday morning elimination game.
The Griffins struggled to contain the high-powered Red Devil offense as they fell behind 2-0 in the bottom of the first. Clinton’s offense exploded in the second and tacked on ten runs to take a 12-0.
The Griffins managed 3 runs in the third and another two in the second, but Clinton walked away with the 15-5 win.
