COLUMBIA – Westwood mens track and field finished in the top three of 78 teams at the Bojangles Classic.
Christian Horn finished fourth in the 200M at 21.71. Paul McCants finished second the the 400m dash at 48.53, followed closely by Horn in third at 48.55. Westwood’s 4×40 relay team placed third with a time of 3:24:10.
In a highlight for the Lady Redhawks, Sierra McCant finished 14th in high jump at 5-02.00
Blythewood Bengal Payton Manuel tied for fifth in high jump at 6-04.00. Nick Rogers finished eighth out of 67 in shot put at 49-07.74 and twelfth out of 66 in discus at 144-11.00. The boys 4×100 relay team finished tenth at 43.01 out of 41 teams.
For the girls, Kayla Ulmer finished seventh out of 73 in triple jump at 37-05.50. The 4×400 relay team placed ninth out of 34 at 4:08.67. Arianna Williams placed 12th in 400m at 59.62 out of 77.
The Redhawks will have a final conference meet on April 25. Blythewood will compete at the Region Championship at Spring Valley on April 25. The State Qualifier meet is May 4 for both schools.
