HANAHAN – After falling to Ridge View 6-3 last Thursday, Redhawk baseball faced off with White Plains in a Monday game at the Hanahan Invitational Tournament. White Plains took the lead through the first three innings and managed two back-to-back, five-run innings in the fourth and fifth to seal up a 14-3 win in just five innings.
Josh Wise picked up the loss on the mound. Wise faced eight batters in 1.2 innings pitched. Dylan Bailey, Eddie Olmeda and C. Linn each saw relief time on the mound.
Tuesday’s Spring Break tournament play pitted the Redhawks against Phillips Simons, of Wando, SC.
The Redhawks’ offense was firing on all cylinders, blasting the Iron Horses 11-1 in five innings.
The Redhawks totaled nine hits. BJ Williams went 3-3 at the plate with two doubles. Olmeda and Bailey also doubled in the win.
Wise picked up the win on the mound, going four innings. Wise allowed one runs on two hits and struck out two.
Westwood will travel to North Central on April 22 for their final regular season game, a make-up from their original April 8 date.
