BLYTHEWOOD – The Bengals girls soccer team (12-3-3) picked up a 5-1 against Irmo on Tuesday, pushing their conference record to a perfect 5-0.
Claudia Watson scored first on an assist by Hannah Chappell. Kayla Reese followed with a goal, assisted by Maya Moran. Watson struck two more times with assists by Reese. Arianna Paez scored the fifth and final goal from an Amy Carroll assist in the second half.
The Bengals traveled to Lexington for a non-conference game on Wednesday, but scores were not available at press time. They’re scheduled to travel to Sumter for their second faceoff of the season on Friday. In the first meeting, the Bengals picked up a 5-1 win.
Blythewood will honor seniors in their final home game of the season on Tuesday against Lugoff-Elgin at 7 p.m.
