Griffins Track and Field competes at River Bluff

LEXINGTON – Fairfield Central Track and Field found a great deal of success this past week at River Bluff. The Griffins competed alongside River Bluff, Airport and Gilbert. Ray Davis earned the top in the shot put, and the discus throw. D’Andre Milton finished second in the discus.

Andre Merrit finished eighth in the 100m and Jordan Boyd earned a fifth place finished in the 200m. Boyd also earned third place in the long jump. Jalen Banks came in fifth in the long jump.

Merrit struck again in the 400 and came in third. Keenen Davis was right behind him in the fourth spot. Malik Beaver came in fourth in the 800 and Malik Coleman followed him at fifth. Nasir Mix finished in third the in the 110m and 400m hurdles. The 4×800 relay team also notched a third place finish.

The ladies also shined bright at River Bluff. Krishayla Boyd finished second in the 100 and took home the top spot in the 200. Boyd brought home first in the 400, and Malaysha Tucker was right behind her in the second position.

Ashanti Thompson finished fifth in the 800 and sixth in the 1600. Trennell Boyd earned third in the 100M hurdles, and Chatara Jonson clinched fourth place. Tamarra English finished in sixth. Johnson finished in third in the 400M hurdles. Anaya Pey, ZyKirah Davis, Karis Davis and Krishayla Boyd came in third at the 4×100 relay.

Ericka Kelly finished third in the shot put and Alyssa Boyd tied for fourth. Jala Mickle came in sixth. Kelly also earned third in the discus and Faith Able finished seventh.
