BLYTHEWOOD– Blythewood capped last week’s three-game series against Lugoff-Elgin with an 11-7 final at Bengal Field.
Big Blythewood bats put the Bengals ahead 10-0 after three, but the Demons plated seven runs in the fifth inning to keep them alive. The Bengals tacked on an insurance run in the sixth and silenced Lugoff-Elgin to run away with the win.
Blythewood collected a blistering 16 hits in the win, including doubles from John Lanier and Landon Lucas. Lucas tallied three RBIs, Josh Cowan two, and Nate Hinson, Harrison Lambert and Jansen Stokes added one apiece.
Davis Wright picked up the Bengal win in four innings pitched. He faced 20, seated three, and allowed four hits and two runs.
Monday’s game at Spring Valley was rescheduled to Wednesday, and Blythewood dominated with a 10-3 win.
The Bengals play game two tonight at Spring Valley and wrap up the series on Friday in Blythewood. Both games are set to begin at 6:30.
