BLYTHEWOOD – As expected, Kristen Chaisson’s young Bengal squad is gaining plenty of early-season experience. Last Thursday’s matchup against Lexington was no exception. The Wildcats (4-1) pounced on the Bengals and took away a 16-3 win.
Lexington led the Bengals 10-2 after a half of play, and the Bengals were only able to find the goal once more by the end of the game.
Senior Micaiah Brown picked up all three goals for the Bengals in her six shots on goal. Junior Ninah Cooks had ten saves in 26 shots on goal. Taylor Harman, Hailey Chaisson and Elizabeth Carrasco each tallied a ground ball. Carrasco also had an interception.
The Bengals hosted Chapin on Wednesday night, but scores were not available at press time. They face conference foe Spring Valley on March 25 in Blythewood at 6 p.m.
