BLYTHEWOOD – Lady Bengals soccer sent the Fighting Gamecocks back to Sumter with a 5-1 loss on Tuesday.
The Bengals (6-2-1) scored all of their five goals in the first half of play. Claudia Watson scored first off of an assist by Maya Moran, and struck again on assists from Abby Griffin and Erica Zuppel. Arianna Paez added one from a Kayla Reese assist, and Lauren Hendry padded the score with the fifth and final goal on an assist by Watson.
The Bengals travel to West Florence Thursday, head to AC Flora on Saturday for a 2:30 game, and host Spring Valley Tuesday 7 p.m.
