GREENWOOD – The Richard Winn Middle School basketball teams both competed for the Region Championship over the weekend. Pictured above, the boys team receives the Region Champion trophy after defeating Cambridge on Saturday to win the tournament. The team finished with a 22-1 record. Their only loss of the season came at the hands of Oakbrook Academy.
Eighth graders Landon Caulder and Lawson Wade were named All Tournament, and Rob Wilson was named Tournament MVP.
Pictured below, the middle school girls basketball team finished second in the region and second in the region tournament, falling to Cambridge in the championship game. Their final record was 10-0. Maggie Hughes and Emma Steed were given All Tournament honors.
