BATESBURG – First year varsity Nick Chaisson and the Richard Winn continued their 2019 hot-streak going with a statement win against King Academy on Friday night. Darius Boyd’s 15-point effort helped the Eagles bowl over the hapless King Academy Knights, 51-18. The Knights only scored eight points in the second half and only sank one field goal in the final quarter. Hudson Wade had 10 points and seven rebounds in the beatdown.
The momentum carried over into the Eagles’ Tuesday night contest against the Palmetto Christian Lions. Richard Winn’s defense was superb against the outmatched Lions, and the 55-9 victory was all but sealed up by the end of the first half.
PCA only had two points at the halftime break and would only tack on three more field goals in the second half.
Hudson Wade had the game-high 15 against the Lions, and Boyd was not far behind with 11.
