LUGOFF – The Fairfield Central Girls basketball kept their momentum rolling on Tuesday night following their 50-point win over Great Falls. The Griffins stellar defensive play carried over on Tuesday as they took down Lugoff-Elgin in a 31-22 defensive slug fest. The Griffins have allowed just 22 points in their last two games.
La’Keyn Boyd led the Griffins in scoring with eight points. She also had five rebounds, a steal and an assist. Cristin Gray had seven points but also turned in a monster night on the boards. She pulled down 13 rebounds. Zariah Rice also turned in a solid performance. She had six points, three rebounds, three steals and an assist.
