IRMO – The Blythewood wrestling team recovered from a rough start at the Cardinal Newman Holiday Classic and looked sharper at the Silver Fox Invitational. The Bengals placed seventh out of 17 teams, and had three placers. Satchel Holloway placed third in the 170-pound class, which marked Holloway’s second time placing in the last two events.
Freshman Matt Clack came up big and pulled out a fourth-place finish in the 120-pound division. Morgan Marshall, a sophomore, also came in at fourth but did his work at 145 pounds. Marshall’s fellow sophomore teammate Breeland Johnson-Darby had a competitive fifth-place finish in the 220-divison.
