COLUMBIA – Fairfield Central Griffin’s head coach Demetrius Davis has been selected to head up the East team in the inaugural Columbia Metro Senior Bowl at Irmo High School on Dec. 22. The game will feature players from 38 schools around the midlands, and former Griffins head coach Reggie Kennedy will lead the West.
Griffins’ receiver JR Edmonds and offensive lineman John Peake will join Davis. Edmonds has 691 yards in his career to go along with eight career touchdowns, and he also has 190 yards on the ground. Peake has anchored the offensive lineman for freshman quarterback Stephon Gadsden and electric playmakers Will Barber and Chris Suber.
