Bengals represent in Columbia Metro Bowl

BLYTHEWOOD – First-year Blythewood head coach Jason Seidel was named as the assistant coach to the East squad in the first ever Columbia Metro Senior Bowl, which will be played on Dec. 22 at Irmo High school. Talent from 38 schools in the midlands will fill out the East and West rosters. Seidel is joined by five Bengal players on the inaugural roster: Patrick Godbolt, Jayden Addison, Jaylon Boyd, Brady Carson and Nic Rogers.

Godbolt, a defensive lineman, was second on the team with 54 tackles, he topped the team 14.5 tackles for loss, tied first on the team with 6.5 sacks and had one interception on the year.

Offensive lineman Jayden Addison will have his dangerous running back Jaylon Boyd at his rear. Boyd had 761 rushing yards with 12 touchdowns, and he averaged almost six yards a carry.

Middle linebacker Brady Carson led the team with 69 tackles, had nine tackles for a loss and forced two fumbles on the season. Defensive end Nic Rogers was fourth on the team with 38 tackles, was second on the team with 9.5 tackles for a loss and was tied with Godbolt for the team lead in sacks with 6.5
