WINNSBORO – Fairfield High School Alumni Scholarship Awards were presented to three students of Fairfield Central High School on Class Night 2018. Each student was awarded a $1,000.00 scholarship – Alexis R. Belton, Monterrius C. Seabrooks and Ikayla White.
Belton, the daughter of Adrienne Belton and Albert Belton, will attend the University of South Carolina Upstate (Greenville) with a concentration in nursing. Seabrooks, the son of Francine Goins and Milton Seabrooks, will pursue a welding degree at Midlands Technical College (Columbia). White, the daughter of Carnella Murphy, will work toward a degree in physical therapy from the College of Charleston.
Applicants for the scholarships had to be graduates of the Class of 2018 and a descendant of a former Fairfield High Training School or Fairfield High School student.
A representative for the Alumni Association said they are thankful for all applications submitted, congratulated the winners and stated much success is extended to all students who are in pursuit of furthering their education.
