WINNSBORO – After a rocky start to the season, the Lady Eagles picked up a big region win on Tuesday night over Newberry Academy in a straight set sweep. They narrowly won 25-23 in set one, easily got a 25-11 set two win and finished the match off with 25-8 win in the third set.
The Lady Eagles will host region top-dog Laurens Sept. 27, King Academy Oct. 2 and will honor Gracie Atkerson and Caleigh Caldwell before Thursday’s Senior Night matchup against Cambridge on Oct. 4.
