BLYTHEWOOD – Westwood fans will not have to wait long to hear from their star defensive back, Cam Smith will be playing his college ball. Last week, the four-star prospect trimmed his final list to South Carolina, Georgia and Tennessee, and now he has made his decision, but the masses will have to wait to Aug. 17 after the Redhawks’ season opener against Lugoff-Elgin to hear his announcement.
The No. 2 ranked prospect in South Carolina completed preseason workouts for Westwood the summer prior to his freshman season, but before the season began his family relocated to Maryland. He returns to Westwood for his senior season after playing the previous three seasons in Maryland.
Smith also drew interest from North Carolina, Wake Forest and Florida State.
