WEST COLUMBIA – Blythewood T-Ball All Stars battled in the State Tournament earlier this week. Blythewood, District 4 Runner Up, faced District 6 Champion Midland Valley on Saturday in their first game in the tournament and walked away with a 27-20 win to advance in the brackets.
They faced Midland next on Saturday and lost a tight 31-30, extra-inning contest, but the double-elimination tournament format kept them alive.
On Sunday, they breezed to a 25-12 win over the Pineview All Stars in the third matchup of the weekend. The win advanced the team into the final four of the tournament and a Monday night game against District 2 Champion, Lancaster.
A tough battle ended the squad’s journey with a 10-20 loss to the Lancaster team.
