MT. PLEASANT – Last week, both Blythewood soccer programs were bounced from the 5A state playoffs in the second round. The Lady Bengals pummeled South Florence 7-0 in the first round, but the Wando Warriors had too much firepower. The Warriors went up 2-0 in the first half, and added another couple of goals in the second half for a 4-0 win.
The boys also had a relatively easy time in the first round and dismantled South Florence 5-0. But, like the girls, the boys ran up against a tough Wando team in round two.
Jonah Miller and Kevin Wray provided the Warrior’s two goals, enough to squeak past the Bengals 2-0.
