BLYTHEWOOD – Blythewood High School’s Aidan Shay and his Lady Bengal counterpart, Loranna Austin, led the pack of 40 midlands players named to South Carolina Coaches All-State Soccer Teams.
Shay, a team captain, tallied 34 points on 10 goals and four assists. Austin racked up 21 points this season with eight goals and five assists.
Both Bengal soccer programs knocked out South Florence High School in the first round of the playoffs before being eliminated in second round by Wando.
