BLYTHEWOOD – For the seventh consecutive year, Blythewood High School Environmental Studies teacher Michael “Vee” Varnadore was voted as the Senior Teacher of the Year.
“This is truly a blessing — 7 straight years,” Varnadore said. “This is my 33rd year teaching and it just keeps getting better. Hopefully I’ll have another 33 years.”
Varnadore’s classes are known for their exploration of the woods and wet areas surrounding BHS, and for his parent fishing days, when seniors invite their parents out for a day of fishing the BHS pond.
Voting is done as part of senior superlatives by the BHS yearbook staff.
