BLYTHEWOOD – Last season, Mya Belton, along with Unique Drake and Nyah Leveretter, combined to form a three-headed monster that propelled the Redhawks to the semi-finals of the 2018 State Playoffs. Drake and Leveretter will return next season, but Belton will be taking her talents to the collegiate level.
Last week Belton, an All-Region player and North/South All-Star, committed to Tusculum College in Tusculum, Tennessee. She averaged 13.5 PPG in her senior season crashed the boards for 6.7 RPG and swatted back 2.2 BPG. She added to her list of accomplishments this season as she became just the second player in school history to score 1,000 career points.
