JACKSONVILLE, FL – Prime Minister Winston, aka Winston, the Ridgeway greyhound who has won an unprecedented three consecutive national championships for amateur oval track racing in North America for 2015, 2016 and 2017, is now the leading contender for the 2018 championship after winning the 2018 Winter Derby in January in Jacksonville, FL.
He is also ranked second for lifetime standings in the sport and is a Lure coursing trophy winner as well. Winston is one of several champion racing dogs owned by Randy and Wanda Bright.
“He’s a great dog and a great loveable pet,” Randy Bright said of the almost four-year-old athlete. “Like all greyhounds, he loves to run and compete. Racing season is mainly spring and fall and he has a busy schedule lined up this year,” Bright said.
While Winston is at home on the track, the Fairfield hound is equally at home browsing the Blythewood farmer’s market with Wanda Bright and is always a popular attraction during the pair’s frequent visits to Soda City.
Congrats Winston!!! Chase’em down!
