On Saturday March 10, as James and I turned onto Hwy 215 S., we saw smoke, people and a burned area not far from us.
But help was on the way. As we started back up the road we met sheriff deputies, fire trucks, volunteers and the forestry personnel…all coming to serve and protect lives and property in western Fairfield.
County Chairman Billy Smith and Davis Anderson arrived soon.
After the fires were out, that night they were still keeping watch. Sunday evening, still watching.
To the Fire Director and every person with you, your training was displayed excellently as well as your passion and compassion for Fairfield County’s citizens.
Thank you is not enough.
