SUMTER – The Richard Winn Lady Eagles journey to a state championship was upended in the second round of the SCISA State Playoffs, but basketball is not quite yet for some of the Lady Eagles.
Both Lydia Wilder and Taylor Spires are slated to represent the Lady Eagles in the SCISA North/South All-Star game on Mar. 3 at Wilson Hall.
Wilder averaged 10.1 points per game in her senior campaign to go along with her nearly seven rebounds and two steals per game. Spires, a freshman, put up 7.8 points per game and killed it on the boards with 12.1 rebounds per contest. She also averaged almost two steals and 1.5 blocks a game.
The Lady Eagles finished the season with a record of 16-7.
