COLUMBIA – This season, the Westwood Redhawks’ wrestling program had their strongest season in school history. They earned the 10-spot in the South Carolina Wrestling 4A rankings and earned a number two-seed in the South Carolina High School League 4A State Duals. Unfortunately, the season came to a screeching halt Saturday in the first round of the State Duals.
The Redhawks fell to the three-seeded Midland Valley Mustangs 48-29, but they will send 10 competitors, including the number one-ranked 160 pounder Brice Harkness, Raekwon Davis and Cedric Brown to the Upper State Individual Qualifiers on Feb.16 and Feb.17 at Eastside High School.
