RICHBURG – The Richard Winn shooting team chiseled its way into the history books Saturday. Carson Stuck, Matt Tate and Johnson Haygood combined for a second place finish and earned the first medals in program history. Tate finished fifth overall out of 110 competitors at the Junior Varsity level. Connor Little notched a tenth place finish out of 89 intermediate shooters.
The day was especially sweet for Eagle shooters because it was at their home course, Rocky Creek Sporting Clays.
Their next tournament is at The Clinton House in Clinton, SC on Saturday, Feb. 24. The Eagle team will shoot in two more tournaments in April to qualify for the State Championship tournament.
