Sixteen-year-old Blythewood native Philip Koelsch is autistic, and though he did not begin speaking until age four, he was drawing and painting at three. He has a knack for remembering details, even after only seeing something one time.
Philip is not new to the art scene. After his mother posted photos on Facebook of artwork he had given as gifts about three years ago, the requests came pouring in. He has since been creating and selling his artwork locally and across the United States.
Philip’s artwork ranges from $10 to $100 and can be purchased at Palmer Street Market in Ridgeway or on his Facebook Page, ‘It’s MePhilip.’
